Del Mar, California.

Nestled in the rolling hills of old Del Mar, the owners of this Craftsman two-story addition/remodel wanted a home with lots of space to raise their young children. Although the original home had “good bones” it lacked curb appeal as well as a workable floor plan suitable to their needs. The architect worked diligently with the owner to create a beautiful street elevation in Craftsman style. Additionally, he opened up the claustrophobic interior spaces to create a unique sculptural environment for graceful living. Light filters in from multiple sources in an ever-changing dance throughout the day. The architect also designed the award-winning double negative edge pool that mirrors fireworks from the Del Mar Fairgrounds to the South.
